"I have known Zehavit since she was a student at the Dunedin School of Art when she wrote a brilliant essay on "Globalisation" for her Art History and Theory assessment."

Since then I have, from time to time, noticed her work in the community, working with handicapped men and women, taking a leading role in the Fringe Festival in Dunedin-always with the quiet dignity of an artist who knows her mind and dedicated to making a difference in the harsh world in which we find ourselves. Her own road has not been easy and what she needs is a breakthrough, time to develop her ideas into a larger work with the support of an institution. She is already a genuine worthwhile artist but has the intellectual skills to become a well-recognised figure able to assist in the struggles of a wider community than at present available to her. I unreservedly recommend Zehavit for any Art Fellowship for which she applies.
